The Home Health Services Report Have Been Published by TUSEB-TUHKE
Home health services are the provision of examination, treatment and rehabilitation services in the home environment by a professional healthcare team to bedridden patients, patients who have difficulties in reaching the health institution due to various chronic diseases or post-operative needs. Scientific and technological breakthroughs, development and expansion of social rights, inadequacies in long-term institutional care services, and increasing costs in health care expenditures are among the most important factors that bring home health services to the agenda.
This report, which was prepared based on a study on home health services contains information about the aging and long-term care process, the concept of home health services, and the historical development of home health services in the world and in Turkey. The report also includes a comprehensive evaluation of the home health services provided by the Uskudar Home Health Services Coordination Center between January 01, 2019, and March 31, 2020, in cooperation with the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate Public Hospital Services Presidency-2 and the Institute of Public Health and Chronic Disease (TUSEB-TUHKE).
