The Third Meeting of the ‘Noninvasive Glucose Sensor Development Project’ in partnership Between the TUSEB-TUHKE, TUBITAK-MAM and Istanbul University
A meeting was held on preparations for in vivo and clinical studies within the scope of the 'Noninvasive Glucose Sensor Development Project' planned to be conducted by TUBITAK-MAM in partnership with the Health Institutes of Turkey - Institute of Public Health and Chronic Diseases (TUSEB-TUHKE), Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (IU ITF) and Aziz Sancar Experimental Medicine Research Institute (IU Aziz Sancar DETAE) and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey - Marmara Research Center.
The meeting started with the opening speech of İlhan Satman (President, TUHKE). Dr. Ozgur Yilmaz made a short presentation about the noninvasive glucose sensor device that is aimed to be developed. Then, participants from TUSEB-TUHKE, TUBITAK-MAM and Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine Endocrinology Group exchanged theit views and thoughts. At the meeting, draft protocols were studied for in vivo and clinical studies to be applied within the scope of the ‘Noninvasive Glucose Sensor Development Project’ that can be used in diabetes monitoring. Ethics committee approvals to be obtained for clinical and experimental studies and the path to be followed was determined.
