World Diabetes Day - 14 November 2021
In 2006, International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and World Health Organization (WHO) declared “World Diabetes Day” every year on November 14th, in commemoration of birthday of Dr. Fredrick Bantig who saved millions of diabetic patients’ lives by discovering insulin. Besides, in 2007, General Assembly of United Nations adopted resolution 61/225 designating 14 November as World Diabetes Day.
During the last decade, the week including 14 November, 'World Diabetes Week', and even the whole month of November, under the name of 'World Diabetes Month', diabetes is brought to the agenda in various aspects.
